Donnie Welch

Donnie Welch is a poet, gardener, and teaching artist living and working in the Bronx. He is an avid birder, backpacker, and camper with an interest in urban habitats where the built and natural worlds overlap and co-exist.

He began taking an interest in trail work after thru-hiking the Benton MacKaye Trail with his brother, and in 2020 became a New York City Parks Super Steward and Natural Areas Conservancy Pathkeeper for Inwood Hill Park, and most recently a Pathkeeper for Van Cortlandt Park as well.

He joined the Rovers in 2023 and is excited to continue learning and working alongside the crew!
