OVERVIEW VIDEO

MISSION

To build and improve trails through stonework, improving community access to the public while preserving natural beauty with an atmosphere of camaraderie and mutual respect

VISION

As an all volunteer group we create sustainable trails to iconic places in public parks. Our highly trained corps of volunteers contributes close to $200,000 of value every year to public parks in the Hudson Valley of New York. We specialize in providing sustainable public access to iconic places.

Beautiful vistas, waterfalls, and historic sites are just a few of the destinations that bring people out to our parks, and we create the path to get you there.  We’re a niche in the world of conservation, and we have a passion for making unique trail experiences a reality.

TESTIMONIALS

The work the Jolly Rovers have completed on this trail is amazing and has brought this section of trail to a sustainable condition
— Eric Humphrey, Park Manager, Minnewaska State Park; Gardiner, NY
“Cider Mill Friends has been very fortunate to work closely with our Jolly Rovers on reconstructing a section of stone wall for the Kimlin Cider Mill, through cold rain and hot sun! Our Rovers are absolutely amazing as teachers - professional, patient and passionate. Keep up the good work!”
— Lisa Shershin, Cider Mill Friends; Poughkeepsie, NY
It has been my good fortune to have been able to partner with the Jolly Rovers on a number of trail building projects over the years. I am always impressed by the quality of their work and the spirit of cooperation and professionalism they display. The recent projects on Little Stony Point and the Wilkinson Trail have been no exception. The stone steps they installed at these locations have led to increased accessibility and safety on our trails, and have made it easier for our patrons to reach inspiring views of the Hudson Highlands. We always look forward to working with them again in the future.
— Evan Thompson, Park Manager, Hudson Highlands State Park: Philipstown, NY
